AVERTISYAN

Armenian tenor Liparit Avetisyan has caught the attention of the operatic world as one of the most exciting lyric tenors of his generation. Currently the leading tenor soloist with the Armenian National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, he has been seen in several roles, including Alfredo in La Traviata and Don Jose in Carmen, the Duke in Rigoletto, Rodolfo in La Boheme, and the tenor solos in the Verdi Requiem, Mozart Requiem, and Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde. With international rapid succession at such leading theaters as the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Berlin State Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Zürich Opera, Opera Australia, Bayerische Staatsoper, Semperoper Dresden, Frankfurt Opera, Hamburg State Opera and Den Norske Opera in Oslo, Opera du Rhin in Strasbourg, Seattle Opera. Avetisyan made several appearances as Alfredo in La Traviata at Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and Opera Australia, Rodolfo in La Boheme at Oper Frankfurt. The BBC Music Magazine wrote that Liparit Avetisyan as Cassio has the most exquisite youthful heroic tone one could wish for. The album released by Avetisyan in 2011 is the winner of the 2021 Opus Klassik award and was named "Best Opera Recording of the Year" (up to the 19th century). In 2017 Liparit was awarded the prestigious National Theatre Award “GOLDEN MASK” as the Best Opera Actor for the role of Des Grieux in Massenet’s Manon, Artavazd National Theater Award as the best actor of the year.
